Mosaic Ch. 5 High tech & Low tech

We will read the chapter. Then we will visit foreign students blogs to read their essays, "Technology Around Us". Then you need to post your essays regarding technology to your blogs. Students of Class 1, 2, 3, 4 will post your essays regarding the topic, "Using Cellular Phones" on the page 122 of the book.Students of Class 5, 6, 7, 8 will post your research paper about "Researching a Gadget" on the page 112 of the book.A 4 paragrphed-essay is requested.

Researching a Gadget: New technology is coming out all the time to provide us with new products that propos to make our lives easier or more enjoyable. some of these products are large, like cars, but others are gadegts, small mechanical devices that we can carry around and use in our homes and at work. Look at the list below, and choose a gadget you'd like to research.
1) An MP3 player or iPod
2) A PlayStation
3) A cellular phone with camera, PDA, email capacity, and/or other capabilities4) Other:________________
Find out everyting you can about his gadget. What can it do? Why is it fun or not fun to have? How much does it cost? Where can you get it? You can talk about your own experience with the gadget, look it up on the Internet, or go to a store where the gadget is sold.Take notes on your findings and come to class prepared to talk about it either to the whole class or ina small group. You may even want to bring your gadget if you already own one!
